General Description
General
The fittings shown in this chapter are generally used to connect the insulators to the tower
attachment part and to the clamp that supports the conductor.
Materials
There are three variants:
• Alloyed steel forged pieces for hardening and tempering.
• Rolled steel plate pieces.
• Spheroidal cast parts.
The fittings can be manufactured in stainless steel, adequate for highly corrosive environments, and in high-resilience alloyed steel, adequate for structures exposed to extremely low temperatures.
*The fittings can be supplied upon request with different types of fasteners (stainless, corona free or special fasteners (Ej. DIN 48073)).
Protection against corrosion
Hot dip galvanizing according to international standard ISO 1461.
Galvanizing thickness higher than the established in the standards can be supplied upon request.
Standard
All fittings are manufactured according to standard IEC 61284.
Fasteners: In galvanized steel, DIN 931 bolts and DIN 934 nuts.
Forged material: EN-10083.
Steel plate material: EN-10025.
Spheroidal cast material: EN-1563.
Forge: Design following EN-10243.
Galvanizing: ISO 1461.
Locking pins: Stainless steel AISI 304.
